WaveLab 2.02

Main corrections/additions:

* added SCSI-support for AKAI S2000, S3000XL, S3200XL, CD3200XL. These devices need to have the latest firmware from Akai for them to be properly recognized by Windows 95/98/NT (firmware 2.00)

* Some new SCSI CD-Recorders are supported. Moreover, Yamaha IDE CD-Recorders are now also supported.

* Certain 24 bit audio cards prefer to transfer samples as 32 bit packets. If your audio card accepts this mode, then this is better than using the "pure" 24 bit transfer, for performance reasons. To select this mode: in the preferences, select "32 bit" as playback resolution; in the record dialog, select "32 bit" as resolution.

* A batch process with hundreds or thousands of files led to a very slow updating of the file list display.

* The "Stop" command of the batch processor did not always perform correctly.

* In a batch, the mode "Delete Input File" was active even if the destination file was the same as the source file.

* The button "Batch Process" in the "Apply" Dialog is now disabled for "Untitled" files (because untitled files can't be processed with the batch processor).

* The Peak file of imported CD tracks was sometimes recreated uselessly.

* Opening a short audio file would not diplay the very end of the file (now the zoom is better adjusted).

* Improved performance when inserting files in a database

* Improved Resampling quality (plugin version)

* The Marker List's title was not updated after the audio file was saved with "Save as".

* The mode "Scrolling during playback" caused a wrong scrolling for Stereo files if either mode "Play Left Channel" or "Play Right Channel" was simultaneously used.

* Copy and Paste was limited to 1 Gigabyte. Now it's 2 Gigabytes.

* After copying a selection to a new window, the Playback Start Mode was not correctly set.

* The "Key Sequence" button in the "Plugin manager" dialog had no effect.

* In mode "Play from cursor", when hitting the play command while Playback is already taking place, then Playback now restarts from the original cursor position (as it was the case with WaveLab 1.6)

* German online help is available.

WaveLab 2.01
07/04/1998

Main corrections:

* Under Windows NT, a Spectral-Design plugin requesting for its original CD would cause WaveLab to quit.

* Under Windows 95/98, certain Master-Section Presets could fail to be restored properly. If you experience this problem under WaveLab 2.01 with a preset created in WaveLab 2.0, you should recreate this preset.

* In certain conditions, a Screen layout could display an error message when being restored.

* Unnecessary peak file creation could occur after saving large files.

* The commands to jump from marker to marker were not working properly when playback was active.

* In the Record dialog, the Audio Attribute button is now enabled even if the vu-meters are active.

* A plugin popup menu will now extend over multiple columns if necessary.

* VST plugins with a stereo input could not be used with a mono input file.

* It is now possible to save plugin presets when a plugin is edited from the batch processor.

* Improved dither/noise shaping in the Master Section.

New features:

* Mouse zooming from the time-ruler: pressing the [Shift] key has now for effect of freezing the cursor position. (Useful for zooming without changing the cursor position).

* New CDR drivers for: Philips CDD 3600, Traxdata 4260 Pro, 2260 Pro, 4120.
